Dr Karel Anseeuw is a GP (general practitioner, huisarts) and sees patients at Medpoint Genk, Sledderlo 48 bus A. You come by appointment only, so there is time for your question.

The consultation is in Dutch. You are welcome to bring someone who can translate for you.

New patients are welcome

Are you looking for a regular GP in Sledderlo or nearby? You can come to me, even if you do not have a GP yet or if you want to change GP.

Simply book an appointment for a first consultation. The page New patients explains what to bring and how your medical record is transferred.

My approach as a GP

I became a GP to help people. By listening, we look together for the cause of the problem. We do not only treat the symptoms.

My goal is that my patients really feel helped after a consultation. As a GP, I am there first of all to guide and support you, in whatever way you need.

More about the way I work

By appointment

I work by appointment only. This means you choose when you come, the waiting time is short and there is time for your question.

You can book an appointment online or by phone, on 011 12 39 87.

What can I do for you?

You can come to me for routine GP care: acute health problems, follow-up of chronic conditions, the Global Medical Record (GMD), preventive check-ups and vaccinations, certificates and prescriptions.

I also have a special interest in dermatology (skin) and paediatrics (children). For two years, I worked as a doctor for Kind en Gezin, the Flemish agency for child and family health.

As a GP, I also do a number of technical tests and small procedures:

  • blood tests
  • an electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • minor surgery
  • freezing warts
  • taping an ankle
  • inserting and removing a contraceptive implant

If you need one of these tests or procedures, please mention it when you book your appointment.

A GP close to home

The practice is in Sledderlo, in the south of Genk. You can find me at Medpoint Genk, Sledderlo 48 bus A.

It is first of all the GP practice of Sledderlo itself: Oud-Sledderlo, Nieuw-Sledderlo and Terboekt. Langerlo, Camerlo and Kolderbos are very close.

The practice is also easy to reach from Zutendaal (Papendaal, Wiemesmeer), from the north of Diepenbeek (Rozendaal, Lutselus) and from Termien. The address and the directions buttons are on Consultation hours and location.

Official rates

I follow the official rates (I am geconventioneerd). When you come for a consultation, the prices are fixed in advance. So you always know what you will pay. In practice, this means I do not charge anything extra.

The page How the practice works explains how payment and reimbursement work.

Outside consultation hours

If you urgently need a doctor in the evening, at night or at the weekend, call the GP out-of-hours service in Genk (huisartsenwachtpost Genk) on 089 20 10 90. The page Doctor on call explains more.

In a life-threatening situation, call 112.

We let every child shine in their own way!
